Another Legend of Coaching at EPVHJC

Another legend of coaching will be at European Pole Vault and High Jump Conference. We are proud to announce that Cliff Rovelto is on our speakers list for the November conference.

Cliff has been head coach at Kansas State University for 24 years now and is a USA track and field master coach jumps. Over his career, he has coached a total of 14 individuals, who have represented their countries at the Olympic Games 18 times, including silver medalists Erik Kynard, Austra Skujyte and Matt Hemingway.

It will be mandatory for all high jump coaches to follow both his lecture and his practical session.

Programme Update

Dear colleagues,

sorry, it took a while to come back to you with some news about our conference.

In the meantime we’ve made all efforts to give the program a structure and to get some of the greats of our sports as a speaker.

The 2016 edition of the symposium will focus besides biomechanics and applied training philosophy especially on coaching.  We will present you the results of a huge case study as well as different coaching and mentoring systems.

We’re really happy to announce that we have two legends of pole vault and high jump on the podium.

Stefan Holm

2,40m high jumper, Olympic champion, World Indoor champion, multiple Olympic, World and European championship medalist … - the list of his success is endless.

Stefan is now actively and successfully coaching. He will present both his career report and his coaching philosophy.

Jeff Hartwig

6,03m pole vaulter, 6 x 6,00m or higher, for a decade one of the dominating athletes. Jeff has received the Jim Thorpe Award as the best American field events athlete in 1998 and 1999.

He is still deeply involved in the pole vault world and will present the specifics of the US coaching system.

We can promise that we will finalize the list of top presenters during the Olympics in Rio and will update you beginning of September.

Whatever the update is: you should save the date. You cannot miss this conference.
